For the past eight years or so, my big band has held a holiday get together and performance at the musician’s union on 48th Street.  This year there will be no party at the stark union hall because of serendipitous timing.  Instead of sipping wine in a plastic cup under fluorescent lights, I invite you instead to join us at the much friendlier and cozier Sweet Rhythm Jazz Club on Wednesday December 13th at 8 and 10 pm. 

 

One of the great things about having a big band is the freedom to choose music that I am passionate about.  For this special concert we are performing two completely different sets of incredible latin charts that will pull you out of your seat and get you dancing.  From Sambas to Swing and Bossa Nova to Ballads, come get your groove on with Blue Nitrous!

 

Featuring a special guest artist on Congas and as always, the amazing Stacey Brass on vocals, this is one Wednesday night worth Tivoing Top Chef for.  Before things get too hectic during the holiday season, make your reservations.  Also,  this is an thoughtful and inexpensive gift for that jazz lover in your life — support the arts by attending live jazz, there is no substitute!
